Penn Yan and Dundee bowlers keep on rolling

The Penn Yan Mustang Bowling teams are developing into an almost unstoppable force as the 2009/10 Finger Lakes League season plays out.  On Tuesday in Penn Yan at Doug Kent’s Lakeside Lanes both Penn Yan teams rolled over Mynderse 7-0.

The Lady Mustangs improved their record to 35-7 by outscoring Mynderse 2,524 pins to 2,271. Brendaya Parsons rolled a 602 (200-225-177) to lead Penn Yan.  Kara Sage added a 529 (187-180) and Shelby Button a 510 (214). Brooke Parsons contributed a 176 single game.

The Mustang boys team also whitewashed Mynderse 7-0 on Tuesday. Dan Fox paced the Mustangs with a 718 (214-235-259).  Derrick Fleischman added a 628 (220-209-199). Eric Pulver contributed a 204 single game and Kevin Waugh added a 202 and 200.

The Mustangs solidified their hold on first place in the Finger Lakes East with a 38-4 record.
Dundee shuts out Naples, H.A.C.

The Dundee Scots bowling teams continued their winning ways in the Finger Lakes West last week with wins over Naples 7-0 and H.A.C. 7-0.  On Tuesday in Hopewell, the Dundee boy’s team shut out Naples 7-0.  Devon Miller rolled a 684 (253-215-216) to lead Dundee.  Teammate Jack Jayne bowled a 217.

The Dundee girls also shut out Naples 7-0 by combining for a 2,328 to 1,965 aggarate pin advantage.

On Thursday, the Dundee teams also blanked H.A.C. 7-0 in Hopewell.  The Dundee boys were paced by Jack Jayne (258), Devon Miller (203-257), Alex Sullivan (246) and Byron Case (232). The Lady Scots also blanked the Wolves 7-0.  Mary Rainis rolled a 201 and Amanda Crans a 184 for Dundee (33-16).

In other Finger Lakes East action last week, both Marcus Whitman teams fell to Wayne 7-0 in Hopewell on Tuesday.  Rob Cornish led the Wildcat Boys with a 559 (210).  The Whitman girls were outscored 2,086 pins to 1,737 as their record fell to 4-37.

On Wednesday, Waterloo also blanked Whitman 7-0.  Ben Ingerick led Whitman with a 552 series (185).  Jordan Chabot rolled a 200 single game for Whitman (7-45). The Lady Wildcats also fell to Waterloo 7-0.  Hannah Bowman 560 (180-190-190) led Marcus Whitman (4-45).
