The Finger Lakes East leading Newark Lady Reds raced to a 33-16 halftime advantage and cruised to a 63-40 victory over Penn Yan on Friday evening in the Rose City.
The Lady Mustangs (5-4,8-5) remain in 3rd place in the Finger Lakes East.
Rachel Roddenbery continued to light up the scoreboard for Penn Yan. The talented junior tallied 16 points to lead the Orange and Blue offense.
Morgan Simmons and Chelsie Travis both added 6 points.
The Lady Mustangs will continue Finger Lakes East action this coming week with big games against Marcus Whitman and Waterloo at home.
The regular season, quickly winding down, will end on the 16th of February.

The Marcus Whitman Lady Wildcats traveled to the land of the high snow drift on Friday evening to take on the Lady Eagles of Wayne.
The Ontario Center based Lady Bird hoopsters pulled away in this contest with a 18-9 run in the third quarter enroute to a 44-37 win.
The scoring outburst directly after halftime broke open a close game and gave Wayne another Finger Lakes East win.
Megan Robson and Hannah Barnett scored 10 points each to lead the Lady Wildcat attack.
Andrea Eckert notched 8 points. Sierra Albert and Jamie Archer added 5 points each.
Whitman falls to 1-8 in the Finger Lakes East.
