According to the Section V website, Geneva defeated Penn Yan 27-6 in a game played in Geneva Friday night, and the Dundee Scots defeated South Seneca by a score of 12 - 7 on Saturday.

Girls Tennis

Penn Yan (0-1 league, 1-1 overall) lost to visiting Pal-Mac (1-0) on Thursday, 4-1.

Penn Yan girls varsity tennis opened its 2010 season at home Tuesday winning  a non-league match against Geneva 4-1. First doubles sealed the victory with a come from behind, 3-set victory. After dropping the second set 1-6 and trailing throughout the third set, the Penn Yan team was able to push a tie-breaker and clinch the victory against Geneva. "Maddie played well in her debut tennis match by staying collected and never giving up," says coach Nathan Kraemer.
