Jan. 9 Bloomfield 4, Dundee/Bradford 1 The Bombers beat the BraveScots, dropping Dundee/Bradford to 1-3. Ethan Briggs led Bloomfield with a high game of 167 in his 450 series. The BraveScots’ top bowler was Ethan Farrow with a 418 series and a high game of 158. Jan. 10 Newark 4, Penn Yan 1 Newark took the win over Penn Yan at Roseland Bowl. PYA’s record evened out to 3-3 with the loss. Newark’s Kevin Martinez had the match’s highest series of 620, with games of 222 and 224, while Hayden Tellner had the match’s highest game of 234 in his 616 series. For Penn Yan, Colin Johnson bowled games of 191, 202 and 204 in his 597 series; Connor Anderson bowled a team-high game of 228 in his 572 series; and Skyler Willoughby bowled a 211 in his 550 series. Naples 4, Romulus 1 Ethan Wolverton of Romulus had the match-high series of 517, also bowling the match-high game of 199. Naples’ highest series came from Gage Curran with a 485, which included the Green’s top game of 182. Jan. 11 Marcus Whitman 5, Bloomfield 0 With their defeat of Bloomfield, the Wildcats were still undefeated after six matches. Austin King had the match’s high series of 582 for Whitman, also bowling the matchhigh game of 227. Also for the Cats, Isaiah Murphy had a high game of 212 in his 545 series and Brayden Armison had a high game of 219 in his 532 series. Bloomfield’s top gun was Ethan Briggs, who bowled a high game of 222 in his 555 series. Jan. 12 Penn Yan 5, Geneva 0 The PYA boys took all five points against Geneva, moving up to 4-3. Colin Johnson had the top series for PYA with a match-high 596, which included the match-high game of 243. Also for Penn Yan, Connor Anderson bowled a high game of 226 in his 588 series, Jaxon Jensen bowled a high game of 218 in his 566 series and Cayden Pinneo bowled a 192 game. For the Panthers, Jayden Jackson bowled a 190 game in his 474 series. Jan. 9 Bloomfield 5, Dundee/Bradford 0 Dundee/Bradford was still winless after a loss to Bloomfield. D/B’s Cassie Morrissette had the night’s best series (457) and game (171), but with only three active bowlers for the match, it was an automatic win for Bloomfield. Bloomfield’s top bowler was Lydia Tutty, who bowled a high game of 162 in her 405 series. Jan. 10 Newark 5, Penn Yan 0 The Mustangs lost their second match in a row, falling to Newark and putting their record at 4-2. Newark’s Natalie Kent bowled the highest series of the night at 717, which included games of 213, 248 and the match-high game of 256. Also for the Reds, Rebecca Spry bowled a 256 series with games of 192 and 200 and Sienna Hasseler bowled a 190 game in her 490 series. PYA’s top bowler was Anella Tillman with games of 211 and 242 in her 636 series and Bella Miller bowled a high game of 176. Jan. 11 Marcus Whitman 5, Bloomfield 0 Whitman won over Bloomfield, taking all five match points and rising up to 4-1. Whitman’s Kennedy Smith had the high series of the match at 581. Smith tied with Bloomfield’s Lydia Tutty for the match-high game at 234. Also for Whitman, Zoelle Payne bowled a high game of 186 in her 507 series, while for Bloomfield, Eloise Holland bowled a 150 game. Jan. 12 Penn Yan 5, Geneva 0 The Penn Yan girls were 5-2 after a win against the Panthers. Anella Tillman dominated the match with a 683 series, which included games of 213, 225 and the match-high 245. Bella Miller had a high game of 175 for the Mustangs. Geneva’s top game was a 182 from Melissa Wright. Girls Basketball Jan. 7 Dundee/Bradford 43, HAC 18 The BraveScots blew HAC out of the water, bumping Dundee/ Bradford up to 8-1. Kendall Parker led the ‘Scots with 26 points and six steals; Trisha Edminster got seven points and three steals; Kailey Yeoman had six points, five rebounds and eight steals; and Mikayla Shoffner led the BraveScots’ defense with 10 rebounds and seven steals. The loss put HAC at 3-7. Jan. 9 Addison 53, Dundee/Bradford 37 Dundee/Bradford got beat in a crossover game with Addison. It was just the second loss of the BraveScots’ season overall, though they remained 6-1 in the Finger Lakes West. Kendall Parker scored 20 points for D/B and Kailey Yeoman got 14 points and six steals. Southern Cayuga 50, Marcus Whitman 37 Whitman faced off against the Southern Cayuga team, losing for only the second time this season. The Wildcats were 7-2 overall, but remained 5-1 in the Finger Lakes West. For Whitman, Tori Brooks scored 10 points, Lily Carroll scored nine and Aurora Woodworth got eight points with six rebounds. Jan. 11 Dundee/Bradford 51, Red Creek 10 Dundee/Bradford put on a dominant performance against Red Creek, playing their second nonleague game in a row. The win put the BraveScots at 9-2 overall for the winter. As usual, Kendall Parker led the ‘Scots with 17 points, while Alissa Eaves got eight points and seven rebounds and Mikayla Schoffner added seven points and eight rebounds. Ryleigh Holliday led RC with six points. The Rams dropped to 1-8 with the loss. Marcus Whitman 49, South Seneca 23 The Wildcats beat S. Seneca, moving up to 8-2 overall and 6-1 in the FLW, tying Dundee/Bradford for second place in the league standings. Seneca was 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the FLW, sitting in fourth place. Natalie Cotroneo led the Cats with 11 points and five assists; Tori Brooks had seven points, five rebounds and five steals; Lily Carroll scored six points and grabbed three steals. For Seneca, Ciera Babcock led with 10 points, while Haley Parry and Alysa Elder each scored four. Romulus 44, Naples 34 The Green lost to Romulus in one of Naples’ closer games this season, dropping to 1-8 overall and 1-6 in the Finger Lakes West, tied for the last three spots in the league boards with HAC and Red Jacket. Polly Bay led the Green with 12 points, Grace Hebding had eight points and 13 rebounds, and Erika Reigelsperger had eight points and 12 rebounds. Boys Basketball Jan. 9 Dundee/Bradford 54, Campbell-Savona 36 The BraveScots put another one in the win column, taking down Cam-Sav and improving to 5-6. Leading scorers for D/B were Cam Rosemier with 15 points and five rebounds, Aidan Webster with 12 points and Ryan McTamney with 11 points. For Cam-Sav, it was Jackson Kiber with 14 points and Ethan Ribble with 10. It was Campbell-Savona’s 10th loss in a row since the beginning of the season. Marcus Whitman 56, Wayland-Cohocton 25 The Wildcats took a big win over Way-Co, moving up to an even 5-5. Way-Co remained winless with 10 losses in the books for the winter. Logan Storms led Whitman with 24 points, including six 3-pointers, while Brody Robinson added 10 points. For Way-Co, Kadyn Brown scored 10 points. Jan. 11 Marcus Whitman 55, Naples 15 Whitman got their second big win in a row, dominating Naples by 40 points. While Whitman improved to 6-5, Naples fell to 2-10. Jan. 12 Dundee/Bradford 40, Bloomfield 35 Dundee/Bradford hosted Bloomfield, taking their second win in a row and evening out their record to 6-6. For the BraveScots, Cam Rosemier scored 13 points, Ryan McTamney scored 11 and Gabe Stiles and Aidan Webster scored four each. Nick Slavick and Logan Buchanan combined for over 20 rebounds in the game. Almost all of Bloomfield’s points came from Cameron Smith, who scored 23 and went 100% in free throws, nailing 7/7. The Bombers were 2-8 with the loss. Indoor Track Jan. 12 Wayne-Finger Lakes League Division 2 Championships at RIT The Wayne-Finger Lakes League held their Division 2 Championships at RIT on Thursday. Dundee/ Bradford competed in the event against various local schools. Girls - Dundee/Bradford’s Madison Hughes took 4th in the 55 Dash (7.93) and won the Long Jump (17-04.25) and Triple Jump (33-04.5). Peyton Mullin took 7th in the Weight Throw (23-09). Overall, Dundee/ Bradford finished 9th in the women’s division. Boys - Cam Buchanan won the 55 Dash (6.96) and Long Jump (21-02.5), Hayden Erick took 3rd in the Long Jump (19-07) and Logan Curtis took 6th in the 600 Run (1:37). Dundee/ Bradford took 3rd in the 4x200 Relay (1:44). Overall, Dundee/Bradford finished 5th in the men’s division. Wrestling Jan. 10 Geneva 54, Penn Yan 24 Penn Yan lost in Geneva, putting PYA at 0-4 in regular meets. The Panthers had wins from Antonio Pesante over David Young (3:43 fall), Tyler Arno over Roark Castner (1:37 fall) and Dominick Russ over Michael Layton (1:49 fall). Penn Yan got wins with Jacob Eaves over Michael Santiago (2:57 fall) and Cullen Maher over Owen Loan (3:39 fall). Jan. 11 South Seneca 48, Penn Yan 21 PYA fell in their fifth meet in a row, this time to South Seneca. Seneca scored pins from Nicholas Tostansoki (138 lbs.), Jacob Sweet (145 lbs.), Luke Dendis (172 lbs.) and Simon Appleby (215 lbs.). PYA had wins from Ty Conover (110 lbs.) in a 4-0 decision and pins from Jacob Eaves (118 lbs.) and Cullen Maher (126 lbs.). Boys Swimming Jan. 10 Midlakes 80, Marcus Whitman 67 Whitman lost to Midlakes in a fairly close matchup, putting the Wildcats at 0-9. Midlakes took wins with Ethan Brodman in the 200 IM (2:17) and 100 Breast (1:19), Sam Kuhn in Diving (137.55), Teddy Altman in the 100 Butterfly (59.17) and 100 Back (1:06) and Connor Carter in the 500 Free (6:14). Marcus Whitman won all three of the meet’s Relay events and picked up wins from Zach Lincoln in the 200 Free (2:08), Carl Parsons in the 50 Free (24.00) and Brendan Laity in the 100 Free (52.77). Naples 116, Clyde-Savannah 30 Naples took a big win over Clyde-Savannah, putting the Green at 4-2. Naples got wins with Owen Yates in the 200 IM (2:35), Eric McDonald in the 50 Free (27.54) and Grady Grove in Diving (167.90) and the 100 Breast (1:22). Jan. 12 Gananda 107, Marcus Whitman 59 Marcus Whitman lost their tenth meet in a row, still unable to find a win this season. Gananda took the win the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay, also picking up wins with Peyton Conner in the 50 Free (23.04) and 100 Free (51.64), Tyler Hellaby-D’Alessandro in Diving (163.55) and Owen Richards in the 500 Free (5:41) and 100 Back (1:10). Whitman scored wins in the 400 Free Relay, as well as Brendan Laity in the 200 Free (1:53) and 100 Butterfly (1:01) and Carl Parsons in the 200 IM (2:14) and 100 Breast (1:06) Naples 98, Midlakes 73 Naples won over Midlakes, improving to 5-2. Naples won the 200 Free Relay and Eric McDonald won the 100 Back (1:07). Midlakes took the 200 Medley and 400 Free Relays and had wins from Teddy Altman in the 200 IM (2:18) and 100 Free (53.33), Ethan Brodman in the 50 Free (22.98) and 100 Breast (1:11) and Zander Benz in the 100 Butterfly (1:13).
