Penn Yan was 3-12 with the loss and 1-9 in the FLE. Pal-Mac was led by Ian Goodness and Ethan Ely, who each brought in 13 points. For the Mustangs, Matt Tones, Liam Chapman and Tanyon Dunning scored seven points apiece. Dundee/Bradford 68, Honeoye 55 The BraveScots hosted Honeoye and sent the Bulldogs home with a loss. D/B improved to 10-8 overall and 6-6 in the Finger Lakes West. Honeoye was 8-7 overall and 5-6 in the FLW. Dundee/Bradford’s top three were Logan Buchanan with 23 points and 10 rebounds, Cam Rosemier with 19 points and Aidan Webster with nine points. For Honeoye, Landon Washburn scored 19 points and Billy Covey scored 12. Waterloo 50, Marcus Whitman 46 The Tigers won a close game over Marcus Whitman, moving up to 7-3 in the Finger Lakes East, while the Wildcats dropped to 3-7 in the league. Nolan Slywka led Waterloo with 23 points, while teammate Connor McCann added 10. For MW, Brody Royston scored 14 points and Myles Pendergast scored 10. The loss put Whitman at 7-9 overall this season. Bloomfield 45, Naples 32 Naples lost to visiting Bloomfield, dropping to 2-14 overall and 1-10 in the FLW. Bloomfield was 6-9 overall and 4-6 in the league. Feb. 2 HAC 58, Dundee/Bradford 45 The BraveScots fell to Harley-Allendale-Columbia, dropping to 6-7 in the FLW. With the win, HAC was 8-6 overall and 6-5 in the FLW, giving them the #3 spot in the league. The leading scorers for HAC were Ryan D’Arduini with 16 points and Thomas Riveros with 14. Dundee/ Bradford was led by Nick Slavick with 19 points, while Logan Buchanan scored 13. South Seneca 82, Naples 41 South Seneca won a lopsided match against Naples, doubling the Green’s score to bring in over 80 points in the game. The game dropped Naples to 2-15 overall and marked their eighth loss in a row. South Seneca, who remained at the top of the FLW standings, moved up to 13-2 overall with their eight win in a row. Within the league, Seneca is 9-2, while Naples is 1-11. Feb. 4 Marcus Whitman 65, Penn Yan 54 After a weather postponement the day before, Penn Yan hosted Marcus Whitman, falling after a hard-fought game and dropping to 3-13 overall and 1-10 in the Finger Lakes East. Whitman improved to 8-9 and 4-7 in the league. Brody Royston led Whitman with 21 points and Connor Gorton scored 18 points. For PYA, Tanyon Dunning scored 13 points and Liam Chapman scored 10. Dundee/Bradford 64, Campbell-Savona 53 Dundee/Bradford won in a crossover game against Campbell-Savona, improving to 11-8. Cam-Sav, who got their only win of the season against Hammondsport in their previous game, fell to 1-16. Nick Slavick led D/B with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Also for the BraveScots, Logan Buchanan scored 11 points, Ryan McTamney got nine points and five assists, Gabe Stiles had seven points and six steals, Dylan Monell scored six points and Miguel Candela scored five. Campbell-Savona was led by Blake Ryan with 13 points, while Ethan Ribble and Jackson Kibler each scored 10 points. The game was Bradford’s last home game of the season, while the team’s final home game in Dundee, and final game of the regular season, will be played tonight. Girls Basketball Jan. 30 Marcus Whitman 57, Hammondsport 37 Whitman beat Hammondsport by 20, moving up to 12-3 overall. The Lakers were 10-5. Olivia Herod led MW with 19 points, while Natalie Cotroneo scored 11 and Lily Carroll scored 10. On Hammondsport’s side, Danica Dresser scored 14 points and LaZell Locey scored 12. Feb. 1 Pal-Mac 49, Penn Yan 32 Pal-Mac took the win against visiting Penn Yan, moving up to 14-2 overall and officially taking the #1 spot in the Finger Lakes East with a league record of 10-1. Penn Yan dropped to 3-12 overall and 3-7 in the FLE. For Pal-Mac, Marianna Hodgins scored 15 points with seven rebounds, Taryn Goodness had 11 points and four steals and Julia Belanger got eight points and nine rebounds. Bailey Cooper had nine points and eight rebounds for the Mustangs, while Corinne Barden and Breanne Dunning each scored six points. Dundee/Bradford 58, Honeoye 25 The BraveScots more than doubled Honeoye’s score, adding another win to their stellar Winter season. With the win, D/B was 14-2 overall and 11-1 in the Finger Lakes West. The Bulldogs were 5-12 overall and 5-8 in the league. Leading the ‘Scots, Kendall Parker scored 24 points and had four assists, six rebounds and five steals. Also for Dundee/Bradford, Mikayla Schoffner scored eight points with 10 rebounds and Kailey Yeoman had seven points and eight steals. For Honeoye, Ashley Thomas scored nine points and Ava Higgins scored seven. Marcus Whitman 64, Romulus 14 Marcus Whitman hit double digit wins in the FLW with a massive victory over Romulus, beating the Warriors by 50 points. MW was 10-2 in the FLW with the win, while Romulus dropped to 3-10 in the league. For the Wildcats, Aurora Woodworth scored 12 points, Aliysiah Clark scored 11 and Natalie Cotroneo and Hailee King each scored nine. Bloomfield 70, Naples 23 In similar fashion to the boys’ game, Bloomfield put a big hurt on Naples, taking a lopsided victory over the Big Green. Naples was 1-14 after the loss (1-12 in the FLW), while Bloomfield improved to 13-3 overall and 12-1 in the league. Lily Baughman scored 18 points for Bloomfield, Calla McCombs scored 16 and Abby O’Brien scored 12. Leading Naples was Grace Hebding, who scored 12 points for the Green. Feb. 3 Dundee/Bradford 57, HAC 18 Dundee/Bradford secured their seventh win a row with a one-sided game against Harley-Allendale-Columbia. The BraveScots were 15-2 overall and 12-1 in the league, remaining tied with Bloomfield for the FLW’s #1 ranking. HAC was 4-8 in the FLW and 6-10 overall. For the BraveScots, Kendall Parker had 21 points, nine rebounds and five steals; Kailey Yeoman had 15 points and nine steals and Brieonna Bayer scored 10 points. Bloomfield 47, Marcus Whitman 32 Two of the Finger Lakes West’s toughest teams battled in a hard-fought game, but it was Bloomfield who came out on top, retaining their tying spot with Dundee/Bradford for the status of league leader. Calla McCombs led the Bombers with 16 points, while Lily Baughman and Allison Baughman each scored nine points. South Seneca 47, Naples 34 Naples and South Seneca played a good game with the Falcons coming out on top of the Big Green. Also for PYA,Anella Tillman bowled a high game of 191 in her 535 series. Despite the diminished squad, D/B’s Cassie Morrissette bowled a good match, getting a high game of 194 in a 482 series. PYA’s Anella Tillman had the match’s top series of 629, bowling games of 197, 208 and 224, while Julia Maldonado got the team’s highest game of 226, also bowling a 212 in her 588 series.
