Macedon/Rushville – R. Jeanette Bay, aka “Grandma Net”, 94, died March 10, 2023.

Friends may call Sunday, April 16th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Farmington Friends Meeting, 187 County Rd. #8, Farmington, NY 14425.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m. at the church.

A private burial will be in Rushville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Farmington Friends Meeting.

Jeanette was born, May 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Guy and Marjorie Graham. She graduated from Middlesex Valley High School and attended Buffalo State College. Jeanette earned her Associates Degree from the NY Empire State College.

Jeanette was a pre-school teacher from 1963 to 1993. She also published three books of Flannel-board Stories. Jeanette was an active member of the Farmington Friends Meeting. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and held church offices.

Jeanette loved people. She enjoyed playing Bridge with friends, entertaining family, friends and neighbors, and having a glass of wine for “happy hour”. She was also a long-time Buffalo Bills fan.

Jeanette is survived by four children, John Bay, Curtis (Jeannette) Bay, Susan Pettig and Bruce (Gail) Bay; seven grandchildren, Timothy Sharp, Caleb (Stephanie) Sharp, Andrew Sharp, Hannah (Patrick) Burns, Asher Bay, Nolan Bay and Nora Bay; greatgranddaughter, Nora; sister, Joanne Dyment; sister-inlaw, Marti Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Donald Bay; her parents; sister, Sybil (Gene) Gage; and son-in-law, David Pettig. Please visit www.kenperkinsfuneralhome.com to send a condolence to the Bay family.
