PENN YAN -- The Big Barn Bonanza, Keuka Comfort Care Home’s annual garage sale, is held on the first Friday and Saturday in June. This year’s dates are June 2 and 3. The sale has become a much-anticipated event, with people coming from miles around to grab great bargains. Held at the Yates County Fairgrounds, the Big Barn Bonanza includes the sale of donated books, toys, jewelry, housewares, linens, antiques, furniture, tools, holiday decorations, and much more! Most of the items sold are collected during the intake days the week leading up to the sale. KCCH will start accepting most donations at the Yates County Fairground 4-H barn on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Tuesday, May 30 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. We do have a limited ability to pick up larger items such as furniture. Call the house at 315-536-1690 or Joanne Drewno at 315-729-3395 for more information on pick up. We are not able to accept: • clothing • shoes • electronics • mattresses • sofa beds • artificial Christmas trees • skis • exercise equipment • VHS tapes • cribs or car seats Thank you for understanding. The funds from this event help to fund Keuka Comfort Care Home, a non-profit two-bed palliative care home overlooking Keuka Lake. KCCH accepts residents of Yates County and surrounding areas at the end of their life and provides comfort and care to them at no cost to them, their family, or their insurance companies. Keuka Comfort Care Home sincerely thanks the community and beyond for the generosity shown over the past 16 years. We have served over 300 families at no cost and could not do so without the community and its volunteers! Call KCCH at 315-536-1690 for any questions.
