Penn Yan, Marcus Whitman, and Dundee athletes named to teams

The Wayne-Finger Lakes Track and Field All-League teams for the 2015 season was announced last week. The track and field teams of the three local high schools, Penn Yan, Dundee, and Marcus Whitman, featured athletes on the teams.

The Penn Yan Mustang track and field team members in Division I included: Andrew Davis in the 1,600 run and 3,200 run. He also captured the award in the 3,000 steeplechase category. Also for Penn Yan, Jon Morgan received an Honorable Mention in the Division I shot put.

In Division II, Marcus Whitman’s Carl Laursen earned Honorable Mention in the 400 Dash and High Jump. For the MW Wildcat girl’s team, Audrey Button was named the best in the 3,000 run as was Victoria Shively in the Pole Vault. Earning Honorable Mention for Whitman was Hailey Rossi in the 800 run and the Wildcat’s 4 x 800 relay team.

The Dundee Scots were well represented on the Division III All-League team. Chris Cramer topped the D-III 400 Hurdles, Geordan Conyers and Cody Salvatore for the Long Jump, Salvatore and teammate Cole Hartman captured the Triple Jump prize, Jeffrey Wood in the Discus and Brennan Krall in the Shot Put. The Scotsmen 4 x 100 relay team also grabbed top honors.
