The 2015 Yates County Concert Series continues on the Courthouse lawn at the corner of Main and Court Streets in Penn Yan.

July 1: Mulberry Soul
The Yates County Concert Series gains momentum Wednesday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m. by welcoming back to the Court House Lawn another talented musical group by the name of Mulberry Soul. This gifted band of musicians hails from the Naples area and their music blends folk, bluegrass, and old time fiddle music with stunningly soulful original songs. Get your dancing feet ready because this show is sure to be packed with some smokin’ picking on mandolin, guitar, banjo, bass, and fiddle.

July 8: All-Star Jazz Band
The concert series continues at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 by welcoming a new group to the Court House Lawn, Southern Tier All-Star Jazz Band.
This 16-piece jazz orchestra from Upstate New York specializes in the big band hits from the 30s to the present time. You will hear the music of Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, Count Basie, and Duke Ellington.
Since 1983, the Southern Tier All Star Jazz Band has been performing some of the greatest and most familiar tunes from the big band era. They usually perform the first Sunday of each month from September to May.

Bring your own lawn chair or picnic blanket to these outdoor performances. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside the neighboring Baptist Church. Refreshments will be sold during intermission by the Soldiers & Sailors Auxiliary at the Mulberry Soul Concert and by the Penn Yan Kiwanis Club at the Jazz Band Concert.
