John Timothy (Tim) Kerwin, 75, of Keuka Park, died July 15, 2015.

A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26 at Esperanza Mansion, Keuka Lake.

Tim was born and raised in Detroit, Mich., graduated from Catholic Central High School and the University of Detroit. He received his Master’s degree at The Rochester Institute of Technology, and had a career in finance at General Motors and Xerox.

Tim leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Lynne; his sons, Mike of Penfield, and Greg (Sally) of Oakland, Calif.; sisters, Kathy and Karen; and 13 nieces and nephews. His four wonderful grandchildren will miss him dearly. Maggie, Seamus, Eleanor, and Rose Kerwin have fond memories of trips, adventures, holiday gatherings, and good times at the cottage with grandma and grandpa.

Tim was preceded in death by siblings Marilyn, Jean, Frank, and Roger.

Tim had a lifetime of enjoyment in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, especially at his summer residence on Keuka Lake. He also enjoyed years of living in California during the winter months, where he and Lynne were committed to spending time with their children and grandchildren. Tim loved to travel, and was up for anything, even without an itinerary. He especially enjoyed his poker and ski group outings that in later years were less about poker and skiing, and more about being with close friends.

Tim had a quick wit, a great sense of humor, and a zest for life. He made lifelong friends easily, and was happiest when spending time with his family and close friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Rd., Fairport.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milly’s Pantry, a Yates County organization that provides food, school supplies, and holiday gifts to needy children. Send donations to 19 Main St. Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527 or online at www.millyspantry.org or call 315-694-7350 for more information.
