Dolores “Dee” Pulver Smith, 97, of Beaver Dams, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at home.

Family and friends were invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 West Pulteney St., Corning from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6. A celebration of Dee’s life was held at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Second Milo Cemetery in Penn Yan at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to the Corning VFW Post #524, 218 Baker St., Corning, NY 14830.

She was born March 31, 1920 in Geneva, the daughter of the late William E. and Winifred (Beebe) Pulver.

Dee was a teacher in local schools for many years including Beaver Valley and Seneca Falls. She retired from Corning Painted Post School District and she was a member of the VFW Post 524 in Corning and the American Legion Post 154 in Elmira Heights. Dee was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Dora Pulver of Florida, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Chris and Tim Putman, Debbie Pierri, and David Bonham, all of Beaver Dams, and many friends and neighbors. Dolores was predeceased by her siblings, Marian Sands, Michael Pulver, William Pulver, Elsie Johnson, and Doris Wright.
