LOCATED: According to Ontario County Sheriff Povero, Glen David and Leroy Newswanger, the missing toddler and father from Stanley, have been located safe in Harrisonburg, Virginia.


A source tells our news partner, News10NBC that Leroy Newswanger has been very "fired up" recently about a political issue and both could be heading to Washington, D.C.

Late Thursday night, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies issued a missing child alert for a 15-month-old toddler last seen with his father.

Deputies are searching for Leroy Newswanger and his son, Glenn David Newswanger, both of Stanley. In the alert, the Sheriff’s Office said that Leroy Newswanger has an extensive mental health history.

The missing father and son were last seen Feb. 1 at Lyons National Bank in Penn Yan.

Deputies said that Glenn David has hand, foot and mouth disease and has blisters around his mouth.

Leroy Newswanger is 5′11″ and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair, a light complexion and was last seen wearing a maroon button-up shirt.

The missing pair were last seen driving a dark blue Chevy Silverado with dents in the right front passenger door and rear bumper. The vehicle has the New York license plate: 88359 MJ.
