Russell Earl Fuller Sr., 89, of Dundee, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at home with his family. As per his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A private gathering will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Ambulance Corps, Union Street, Dundee.
Russell was born November 17, 1928 in Niagara Falls, the son of Percy and Dorothy Fuller. He married Mary R. Chapman September 21, 1946, who passed away in June of 2012. He is also predeceased by a grandson, Zachary Stock.
He was in the U.S. Navy in 1946, worked most of his life for Thatcher Glass, and later as a full-time beef farmer and cattle hauler. In the 1960s, he was a member of the Chemung Speedway Racing Community, and maintained a lifelong interest in racing. He was a Pilgrim Member of the Penn Moose Lodge, and a Life Member of Dundee Fire Department and the Dundee Ambulance Corps.
He is survived by his four children, William P. Fuller (Jackie) of Horseheads, Russel E. Fuller Jr. (Bonnie) of Titusville, Fla, John P. Fuller (Joy) of Dundee, and Dawn M. Pollack (Mark) of Dundee; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; sister in law, Lola Wheaton (Ted) of Elmira; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being made by the Weldon Funeral Home in Penn Yan.
