Toddler Dance Party
Wear your fancy pants and dance the morning away at 9:30 a.m. March 11 at Penn Yan Public Library, 214 Main St. Penn Yan. Join in for stories, stretches, and, of course, lots of songs and dancing! Hammondsport Book Club meets from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. March 11 at Fred & Harriett Taylor Memorial Library, 21 William St., Hammondsport. The book for March is Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis, by J.D. Vance. The selection for April 2019, White Teeth, by Zadie Smith, by will be available to pick up at the March meeting. Newcomers are always welcome.
AARP Drivers Safety Course
The AARP Drivers Safety Course will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. March 11 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 135 Hamilton St., Penn Yan. Classes are available to all ages. $20 for AARP members; $25 for non-members. Those completing the course will be eligible for a 10 percent reduction for three years of the liability, collision, and no-fault portions of your automobile insurance and four-point reduction on their driver’s license.
