The Village of Dresden Water Crew will be flushing the Village hydrants the week of May 6. The flushing is done in order to thoroughly clean the Village’s water delivery system.
This flushing of the hydrants can cause cloudy water. Although the water will still be safe to drink, residents may wish to purchase bottled water for consumption. It is also advised that they run their faucets to clear any cloudy water that may have collected in their service line during the flushing process. Low water pressure may also occur during the time when flushing is taking place.
This flushing is required by the New York State Department of Health to clean sediment out of the system.
