The Summer Concerts on the Courthouse Lawn continues with Concert No. Two Wednesday, July 3. Located on Court and Main Streets in Penn Yan, the free evening concert begins at 6:30 p.m., and the featured guest artist is Paul Strowe. This concert is sponsored by Chris McNinch of Ameriprise Financial, The Birkett Mills, and Carey’s Farm and Home Center.
Paul Strowe is known as an acoustic sensation and sometimes known as the “the Human Jukebox” because of his knowledge of over 700 songs and his classic recall of all those tunes. He incorporates his sense of humor and wit into every performance.
Paul Strowe is a native of Rochester and has been performing since his teens. He plays the classics from the Beatles to Jimmy Buffet and a whole lot in between. He is now an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist.
Bring your own lawn chair, and in case of inclement weather, the concert will be held indoors at the neighboring Baptist Church. Intermission treats will be provided by the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and the Baptist Church will sell you hotdogs and hamburgers before the concert begins. Restrooms are available at the Baptist Church and there is plenty of free parking. A goodwill collection will be asked for during intermission so that the programs can continue annually.
The next performing band after Paul Strowe will be Paulsen, Baker, and special guest Warren Paul on July 10.
