Norm Koek was presented with the Dewitt Clinton Award by the Milo Masonic Lodge in Penn Yan Wednesday, July 17. The DeWitt Clinton Award is given to non-Masons or non-Masonic organizations who have demonstrated exceptional voluntary service to their communities. Following a moving tribute given by his brother Kevin, Norm gave the credit for whatever he has done to the example set by his mother sitting in the front row, and his late father, Marvin. Choking back tears, he expressed his love and his admiration for the example they lived every day. Norm then shared the credit for the hundreds of handicapped ramps and other projects with the many people who were willing to help whenever he asked.
