The Yates Summer Concert Series has added a special bonus event geared expressively toward children. Tuesday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m., all children are invited to a special performance by storyteller Michael Miller. This program will take place at Indian Pines Park in conjunction with the Village of Penn Yan’s summer recreation program for children. Special sponsor is Seneca Farms restaurant and ice cream stand.

Michael Miller hails from Rochester, and does storytelling and children’s entertainment as a full-time occupation. His experience includes teaching, camp directing, and book selling with Barnes and Noble. He has performed at libraries, schools, community centers, and birthday parties.

Although his programming is geared for children, it can mean children of all ages or young at heart.

Watch as Michael Miller actively engages with the children and allows their creative processes and imagination to come alive. He is skilled, masterful, and will captivate the children into new worlds.

The Yates Concert Series Inc. sponsors eight free concerts held at the scenic, historic courthouse lawn in Penn Yan that are held on Wednesday evenings during the summer. The concerts began June 26 and will close Aug. 14.
