The Penn Yan Theatre Company (PYTCo.) was pleased to learn of their inclusion in Penn Yan’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant from New York State, with $1 million promised for the $3.75 million Sampson Theatre Revitalization Project. Those promised funds, however, are only available in reimbursement for money spent. There also remains the significant gap yet to be raised to bring the 1910 vaudeville house back to life as the performing arts center for all of Yates County and the central Finger Lakes region. So the push is on among PYTCo.’s community partners to raise funds for this important addition to the quality of life and the economy of our region.

In just a couple of weeks, the Esperanza Mansion will be playing host to one of PYTCo.’s biggest fundraisers ever  — a Masquerade Ball. Esperanza’s beautifully remodeled ballroom will be filled with music, food, and local wineries, breweries, and distilleries ready for you to taste and enjoy some of the best the area has to offer. The Esperanza is also offering exclusive hotel packages to go along with your ball ticket and ensure a worry-free evening of celebration.

Along with tastings, the Esperanza kitchen staff has designed a beautiful menu of appetizers and grazing stations, along with generously donated desserts, to entertain your palate and fuel everyone’s dancing pleasure.

The entertainment will be non-stop. DJ Danielle Jessup will be on site all night, playing a variety of music to keep the dance floor moving. Throughout the evening, a variety of celebrity performers will take the spotlight. Guest performers from PYTCo.’s membership include Penn Yan’s beloved pianist, Brian Cerow, Dundee’s own singer/guitarist, Randy Knapp, and PYTCo.’s long-time star vocalist and actor, Jason Riley.

Be ready for a bidding contest in a silent auction as part of the benefit, with items donated from local sponsors and benefactors.

The dress code for the masquerade is naturally, the costume of your choice or semi-formal attire. A variety of masks will be available for purchase at the ball.

Visit PYTCo.’s website, www.pytco.org, to get your ticket for the ball today and to learn more about Esperanza’s accommodation  packages. Tickets sales are limited.
