The much anticipated Penn Yan Central School transportation facility was the center of attention Oct. 16 when the Board of Education hosted a ribbon cutting  and open house so the public could tour the $8.3 million facility.

The new building includes wash bay, service bays with lifts, and parts storage, office space, restrooms, and a break room and training space which has an expansive view of the athletic field.

There is also a fuel station and bus parking.

Completion of the transportation facility marks the conclusion of the district’s $15.2 million capital project which included improvements in all three buildings and the athletic field. District voters approved the project in 2016.
