Virtual information presentation & webinar on $600,000 fund scheduled May 14
The Finger Lakes Horizon Economic Development Corporation is hosting an online virtual presentation and webinar to inform business and building owners of the $600,000 Penn Yan DRI Building Improvement Fund.
The Building Improvement Fund is a grant program established to provide funding for applicants to implement interior and exterior building improvements in Penn Yan’s downtown area, for commercial and mixed-use structures. Goals of the Building Improvement Fund are to preserve and renovate historic downtown buildings, stimulate entrepreneurism, and promote mixed-income residential uses including upper floor units.
As a result of COVID-19 and a ban on large gatherings, the informational meeting will be held virtually through Cisco Webex at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 14. All participants must register for the meeting by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The meeting will include a live presentation providing an overview of the program, a list of goals, explanation of the application and scoring process and program requirements. This meeting will provide an opportunity for building and business owners to learn about the program and ask any questions they may have. At the conclusion of the presentation the Building Improvement Fund Application will be made public allowing building owners the opportunity to apply for grant funding.
The virtual presentation will be recorded and posted to the Finger Lakes Economic Development Center website allowing those unable to attend access to information provided during the meeting. Please contact Mike Lipari with any questions or for additional information.
