Having had to cancel the longstanding summer tradition of “Concerts on the Courthouse Lawn” due to coronavirus concerns, The Yates Concert Series is looking for local musicians (solo, duo and trio instrumentalists or singers) to perform in multiple, safe, outdoor venues (“YCS Music HotSpots”) this summer starting in late June.
“We have seen many examples from around the world in the news lately of how music lifts the human soul in times of crisis, and we aim to provide the same for Yates County,” say Rod Blumenau and Casey Kowalski of the Yates Concert Series Board.
“To do this we need to enlist the help of local musicians and small groups who are accustomed to performing, and who have a repertoire of at least an hour of music to share with the public. All styles, all ages of musicians welcomed!”
Interested musicians should submit an audio or video recording, or a reference to a website where they are shown/heard performing, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
“We look forward to working with you to continue to provide quality, entertaining music safely to the citizens of Yates County.”
