Nathaniel C. Tucker, 35, of Linden Street, Penn Yan, was arrested July 20 by Yates County Sheriff’s Office Deputies (YCSO) at the Bath Village Police Department on an arrest warrant issued out of Yates County Court. He was charged with violation of probation, taken to the Yates County Jail, arraigned, and remanded to jail without bail. He will appear in county court later to answer to the charge.
Dominic A. Stebbins, 27, of Rochester, was ticketed by Penn Yan Police (PYPD) for 3rd degree aggravated unlicensed operation (AUO) and obstructed driver’s view July 20 after being stopped for a traffic violation and a check of his license revealed it to be suspended. He was released to appear in Penn Yan Village Court later.
Alexander M. Bates, 28, of Penn Yan was arrested July 20 by PYPD for 2nd degree criminal contempt following a complaint that Bates had contact with the subject of an order of protection against him. Bates was taken into custody and held for arraignment.
John D. Carroll, 56, of Branchport, was ticketed by PYPD July 20 after being stopped for driving with a suspended license. He was charged with 3rd degree AUO and was issued a ticket to appear in village court later.
Conrad A. Yoder, 20, of Penn Yan, was ticketed by PYPD July 20 after being stopped for inadequate tail lamps. A license check revealed his to be suspended, and his vehicle was unregistered. Yoder was charged with 3rd degree AUO and driving an unregistered vehicle, and was released to answer in village court later.
Joshua J. Roberts, 33, of Stryker Road, Penn Yan, was arrested July 21 by YCSO responding to a domestic incident at Keuka Lake State Park in the town of Jerusalem. Deputies found him to be in possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He was charged with 7th criminal possession of a controlled substance, and was released on an appearance ticket for Jerusalem Town Court.
A one car crash occurred July 22 on Pre-Emption Road, North of Havens Crns Road. YCSO responded with Benton Fire Dept. and Penn Yan Ambulance Corps. Investigation into the crash revealed that the driver, Steven M. Rotundo,36, of Chapel St., Prattsburgh, failed to negotiate a curve in the road. His vehicle exited the west side of the road and traveled over a 100 yards into a corn field. He was able to get out of the vehicle and meet emergency personnel at the road, was checked over at the scene, and refused further treatment. No charges were made.
An ATV crash occurred July 24 on Hemlock Road in Jerusalem, where Dale Welker, 82, was driving his ATV out to his mailbox when the throttle stuck. He attempted to avoid the ditch which caused the ATV to overturn. YCSO along with Branchport and Potter Fire Depts., Penn Yan Ambulance, and Medic 55 responded. Welker was treated for a possible fracture to his left ankle and abrasions to both knees at the scene, and was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Rucianno X. O’Malley, 21, of Woodland Park Cir., Canandaigua, was ticketed for 3rd degree AUO July 25 by PYPD after being stopped for driving with a suspended license. He will answer in village court later.
