Nancy E. Naragon, 72, of Penn Yan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Monday, August 21, 2017.

Nancy was born in Tyrone, on Oct. 3, 1944, the daughter of the late Harold J. and Elma Schmidl. In her earlier years, she had been a hair dresser; she had also worked for The Pennsylvania House in Penn Yan building furniture for over 15 years. She loved flowers and Christmas. Her home, gardens, holiday decor and holiday lighting were proof of her artistic talents. Nancy had a love for life and was always willing to assist others in their time of need. But above all, Nancy loved her family.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Harold S. Naragon; her son and daughter-in-law, Eric W. and Christine Stage; her daughter and son-in- law, Julie and Paulie Marble; four grandchildren, Jordan Stage, Erik Stage, Leighann (Jeff) Breuer, and Cameron Marble; her great-grandchild, Brynlee Breuer; sister, Sharon Helton; brothers, Ronald (Bonnie) Schmidl and Gerald (Carolyn) Schmidl; several nieces and nephews; and her K-9 companion, Muffin.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her step-father, Thomas Grady; and her first husband, Timothy Stage.
