Anne Fitch Foulkes, 83, died November 21, 2017, in Worcester, Mass.
Born Jan.7, 1934, in Rochester, she attended the Columbia School and graduated from the Madeira School in 1952 and Smith College in 1956. She received a masters degree in library media from Georgia State University in 1976.
Anne was a life-time lover of books, which led to being the librarian at Allendale/Columbia School in the 1980s. She eventually served on the board of the school. She was also a devoted book club member in Penn Yan, during the last decades of her life, and wrote poetry—for her children, grandchildren, and herself. She was a dedicated downhill skier all her life, and especially enjoyed cruising down the trails of Stratton Mountain and Hunt Hollow.
She is survived by her three children, Schuyler, Christy, and Julie; and six grandchildren.
Her husband of 54 years, Tom, died in 2012. Gifts in her memory can be sent to Allendale Columbia School, 519 Allens Creek Rd., Rochester, N.Y., 14618.
