Gerald Lloyd Scott, 86, died peacefully at home on Monday, September 24, 2018.

There will be no public services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, N.Y. 14456; or a charity of one’s choice.

Gerald was born Aug. 2, 1932, to the late Lloyd and Lucille Kindelberger Scott. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.

Gerald was the Service Manager at Truck Town in Geneva for many years, and then was the Transportation Manager at Penn Yan Central Schools, and retired as Transportation Manager at Haverling Central School in Bath.

Gerald was an avid train collector. He fixed anything and if he couldn’t find a part, he made it.

Gerald leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Constance Scott; two daughters, Kay Sage and Kim (James) Bedient; four granddaughters, Kelsey Sage, Kara Sage, Amy Bedient and Holly Bedient; five siblings, Lewis Don Scott, Phyllis Jorgensen, Janice Castner, Gilbert (Cathy) Scott and Marion (Jim) Baird; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Kathy Scott; Robert (Arlene) Clark and Barbara (Wayne) Mahood.

Gerald was predeceased by his brother, Lloyd Dan Scott; and his sister, Dorothy Scott McCaig.
