Hunter Fuqua, 22, of Penn Yan, passed away unexpectedly December 19, 2018 at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan.

He was born Nov. 21, 1996.

Hunter worked at Connect-A-Service. He always had a smile on his face and he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his daughter, Avianna.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Sammie Thomas and Marie Coleman.

Hunter is survived by his mother, Lisa Thomas of Penn Yan; stepfather, Joe Reese; daughter, Avianna Thomas of Penn Yan; girlfriend, Tami Hopkins; stepson, Jake of Penn Yan; brothers, Quinton Jackson of Minnesota and Noah Moriarity; grandmothers, Clare Fuqua of Charleston, S.C., and Judy Thompkins of Elmira; aunts Jill Thomas of Penn Yan and Larreal Fuqua of Rochester; uncles, Samuel Thomas of Rochester, Earl Reese of Seneca Falls, Malcolm Thomas, Daniel Thomas of Elmira, Brian Thompkins of Penn Yan, and Frank Outing of Rochester; “Lil Sister” Lanique; several cousins, aunts, uncles; his “buddy” Kenny, and Domic Terrell Christian of Elmira.
