Weldon Charles Comeau, 87, of Penn Yan, died Thursday January 3, 2019 at The Homestead in Penn Yan.

There are no calling hours; a service and internment will be in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, Long Island; on a date and time to be announced.

He was born June 6, 1931 in Jamaica (Queens), N.Y. to the late Harold W. and Edna Kurth Comeau.

A true Renaissance man who will be remembered for his love of aviation, food, culture and travel, his amazing artistic and mechanical abilities and a strong faith in God. Among his most memorable will be his selfless love and support as a husband, father and grandfather and one who cherished his family.

He is father of Suzan (Mark) Coffey, Marie Elena (Bill) Dunn, and Lisa (Jacob) Angelou; grandfather of Megan Dunn, Devin Dunn, and Chrissy (Gavin) Polmanteer; Christopher and Sarah Coffey; Rebecca and Jessica Angelou; great-grandfather of Liam Drew, Collin Dunn and Rory Polmanteer; and brother to Lawrence (Denise) Comeau.

He is predeceased by his wife, Magdalena; and sister, Virginia (William) Robbie
