Joan ’54 was proud of her OLM education. Her life centered around relationships – brief and lifelong.
She was direct, honest, loyal and welcomed adventure. She loved people and learning their stories. She and Jack enjoyed their life in the south as well as on Keuka Lake. Joan was a voracious reader as well as an avid golfer, bridge player and dedicated fan of college basketball. She had a discerning eye that was evident in her appearance, her home and all she did. She believed every decision should be considered over a great meal and libation. Her faith was deep and gave her the strength and determination to live a wonderful and thankful life. The family is eternally grateful for the outstanding care and compassion given by the staff at St Ann’s 1st Floor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St Ann’s Foundation (www.stannscommunity.com) or Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women, Advancement Office, 1437 Blossom Rd., Rochester, 14610 (www.mercyhs.com/support-mercy/annualfund).
