Susan M. Hey, 69, died February 4, 2019 at The Homestead.
A family burial will be held in Shuman Cemetery at a later date. Contributions in Sue’s memory may be made to the Homestead Activity Fund, 418 North Main St., Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527, or to the Penn Yan Area Ambulance Corps, PO Box 272, Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527.
Sue was born June 5, 1949 in Hornell. She was the daughterof the late Floyd Demery Phillips and Dorothey Elizabeth Livingston Phillips.
Sue was raised in Penn Yan and was a graduate of the Penn Yan Academy. She was a hairdresser and enjoyed her customers and colleagues at Keuka Cut and Curl.
Sue leaves her beloved husband of 35 years, Harold “Hod” Hey; daughter, Audra and granddaughter, Aspen, of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; two grandsons, Carl Roach and Dominick Hey; two great-granddaughters; brother and sisters-in-law, Sharon Gage, Gerald (Lynette) Hey, Diane (Dave) Fox, and Lois (Kagey) Barrow.
Sue was the youngest of six and was predeceased by her two brothers and three sisters; her daughter, Crystal Bohrer; and her brother-in-law, Bob Gage.
