Penn Yan— “Jerry” Frank E. Golden, 81, of Penn Yan, passed away in the comfort of his home on Wedneday, February 12, 2020.
Jerry was born in New Jersey Feb. 27, 1938, the son of the late Frank and Elsie (Cronenberger) Golden. He drove truck for many years as a long time member of the Teamsters Union. Jerry was devoted to his late wife Beverly and traveled to Florida with her as often as they could. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on cars and tinkering in his garage. Jerry also enjoyed seafood, especially all you can eat crableg buffet.
Jerry is survived by his children, Catherine Golden-Coppola, Dorothy (Mike) Carmel, Christine (Mark) Langan, Phyllis Golden (Jim Eddinger), and David (Sue) Golden; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his sister, Michele (Harry) Sharwthout.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Ann Golden and daughter, Bonnie J Boehm.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Little Church Cemetery in Stanley. Arrangements for Jerry are with the Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan. Memories may be shared with Jerry’s family and friends at townsendwoodzinger.com
