Penn Yan — Earl J Hudson, 75, of Voak Road, died peacefully at his home April 8, 2020.


No services will be held. The family will hold a private ceremony.


Earl was born Feb. 5, 1945 in Canandaigua, the son of the late Earl T. and Ethel M. (Ledgewood) Hudson. Earl lived in Penn Yan his entire life. After taking over the family farm in 1964, he dedicated his life to his family and farming. Hudson Farms was established in 1920. Earl was the third generation managing the farm, and this year marked the 100th anniversary. He was a well-respected and trusted man within the farming community and a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather who will be truly missed.


He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Hudson; six children, Kelly (Scott) Trail of Palmyra, Ginny Hudson of Palmyra, Keven Hudson of Penn Yan, Lyla Hudson of Canandaigua, Tuneeshaw (Jason) Jepsen of York S.C., and Greggi Hudson of Penn Yan; his eight grandchildren, Ryley, Hudson, and Mason Trail; Brooke and Dylan Hudson; and Olivia, Hunter, and Kaydence Hudson; sisters, Helen Payne, Dorothy (Robert) Peacock, and Doris (Ralph) Cripps; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.


He was predeceased by his sister, Grace Hudson; and brother-in-law, Clifford Payne.
