Penn Yan — Robert “Bobby” Lee VanBuskirk, 62, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in his daughter’s loving home with his cherished people by his side.

Bobby loved his daughter, Mollie, and two beautiful grandchildren, Liam and Emilia. He spent countless hours making memories for them. They were his world. The love and passion he had for mowers, tractors, or anything with an engine made him have great joy. He loved figuring things out. He was taught at a young age by his father Leon, growing up in the Village of Dresden. He could fix anything and make it run. His logo was R.V.B. Small Engine Repair. Bobby knew everyone in town. He had the unique gift of making people laugh and be happy. He could also make people extremely mad. That was Bob. He grew up with his mother teaching him how to play the piano and organ. The B3 Hammond organ was his prized possession. He was quite talented at playing by ear. Later in his teens, Bobby played for several bands in the area. Including his favorite EJ-LA Band at Chi Chi Venutis on Rte. 14A.

Later on, he began collecting model and toy tractors. There had to have been over 300 tractors. He also collected anything Mopar. His best friend, Dave Blauvelt, and he would go on road trips looking for more things for his collection. Those two had 45 years of good friendship.
