Frank Winston Dunton

On January 17, 2021; Frank Winston Dunton; beloved husband of 67 years to Mary M. (Pat) (nee Smith); devoted father of Mary Sharon (Sherry) Kappauf and her husband Bill, and Barbara Sue Scoffone and her husband Steve; cherished grandfather of Lindsay Pat Ros and her husband Vimul, Hannah Grace, Lydia Joy, and Holly Ada Scoffone; loving great grandfather of Brielle Kalliayn and Elianna Malis Ros.

Frank was born in Geneva, New York to loving parents Leo Albert and Frances Grace (nee Cleveland). He was the youngest of three siblings; Eunice Augusta and Rupert Cleveland who predeceased him. Frank also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were very special to him.

Frank graduated from Forest Park High School, spent time in the Army launching weather balloons in Greenland at the end of WWII, and graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Business.

Frank was one of the original Directors of Baltimore County Savings Bank founded in 1955. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time at "Dunton's Dilemma" on Broad Creek, followed by over 20 years at his cottage on the west side of Keuka Lake in New York State.

A graveside service will be held at Druid Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to: Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286.
