Mary Jakobovic

Under a solar eclipse, among a sea of prayers, Mary held tight to the hand of God and made her journey home in the dawning hours of June 10, 2021.

A life well lived.

A life well loved.

Many will have a thought, a moment, a story.

A time when her presence was needed or felt.

A time when a laugh was shared or a tear cried.

Known to her children's friends as Mama Jack, Mamason, Mother Mary.

Twinkled into existence in Ilovik, born on Long Island to John and Bernada Simicich. Mary married George Jakobovic Sr in 1964. Together they made their way to Geneva NY. Owning the little country store in Kashong, they raised their family and became an integral part of their small community.

Relocating to Florida after retirement, Mary maintained her strong connections while building new ones.

A faithful servant, a faithful friend.

She is survived by her husband George Sr., sons George ( Sherri) Jr, John ( Cheryl) and daughter Dr. Laura ( David) Dessauer, grandchildren, Orion, Elijah, Noah. Brother John (Cathy) Simicich. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her on her journey are her parents and sister Antoinette.

" Come to me all who labor and are laden, and I will give you rest"
