Dominic Joseph DeVita

Phoenix MD - Dominic Joseph DeVita 82, of Phoenix, Maryland passed away on Wednesday January 12, 2022 at University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. Born on February 21, 1939 he was the son of the late Costantino DeVita and Katherine DeVita. He was the beloved husband of Paulette (Johnson) DeVita. Dominic graduated high school from Penn Yan Academy in 1956 and received his Degree in Business Management from Alfred State University in 1959. Upon graduation, he accepted a position with Peter Kiewit and Sons where he worked for over 30 years as their Business Manager. In 1962 he went into the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey until 1964. In his spare time, Don enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his integrity, kindness, and generosity. Surviving Dominic is his wife, Paulette of Phoenix, MD; his two children, Kevin DeVita and his wife Christie DeVita of Stewartstown, PA and Dominic DeVita Jr. and his wife Jacqueline DeVita of Phoenix, MD; his two grandchildren, Mackenzie DeVita and Eliot DeVita of Stewartstown, PA; along with nieces, nephews, and sister-in-laws. Dominic was preceded in death by his sisters; Diana Ostroski and her husband Ernest Ostroski and Marie Buckland and her husband Robert Buckland; and his brother-in-laws, George Johnson and William Denison. Funeral services will announced at a later date.
