York, PA - Christopher Loren Jensen, age 38, of York, PA formerly of Penn Yan, NY, passed away unexpectedly on March 4th, 2022. Chris was born in Geneva, NY on November 9th, 1983, the son of Alan and Gale Jensen. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 2002 and from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Science. He was a structural designer at Packaging Corporation of America in New Oxford, PA for 10 years and 10 months. Chris was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Penn Yan. He enjoyed drawing, gaming and was an avid collector of Action Heroes and Legos. Growing up Chris enjoyed biking, camping at Darien Lake and Allegany State Park. He also enjoyed boating and swimming on Keuka Lake. Chris is survived by his loving parents, Alan and Gale Jensen of Penn Yan; sisters, Janelle (Kyle) Backal of Farmington and Brittany (Joseph) Czworka of Geneva; brother, Jeremy (Carolyn Eggleston) Jensen of Penn Yan; maternal grandmother, Edith (Blondie) Snyder; nieces, Brielle Backal and Olivia Czworka; aunts and uncles, Dale Jensen of Penn Yan, Fred (Donna) Jensen of Penn Yan, Cheryl Jensen of Lisbon, NY, Dawn Jensen of Lisbon, NY, Katie (Craig) Nissen of Rushville, and Julie (Dick) Brooks of Clifton Springs; great aunts, Doris (Clem) Nielsen and Flora Nielsen; as well as, several cousins. Chris was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Donald Snyder; paternal grandparents, Fred and Dorothy Jensen; and his cousin, Lance Jensen in 2021. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 135 Hamilton St., Penn Yan, NY 14527 on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Toys for Tots, In Memory Program at www.toysfortots.org or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 135 Hamilton St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
