Louise E. Payne, age 90, of Penn Yan, NY passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022.

Louise was born in Penn Yan, NY on March 28, 1932, the daughter of the late, Gareld and Alilian Russell. She was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy and married, John E. Payne on March 11, 1951. She was a member of the Branchport Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, was active with the election board, and was a 4-H Leader. She had worked as a clerk for WT Grant and Lown's Dept. Store. Louise enjoyed bingo, crafts, and spending time in Florida.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Linda Payne of Penn Yan and Grace (Dave) Volt of Branchport; sons, Jack (Tammy) Payne of Penn Yan, Robert (Sandy) of Florida, Timothy (Barbara) of Texas, and David (Judy) of Kentucky; son-in-law, Charles Phalen; daughter-in-law, Donna Nielsen; Fourteen Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren; and one Great Great Grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John E. Payne, daughter, Deborah Phalen; and sister, Jane Blaisdell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11 am at the Branchport Methodist Church. Interment will be at 3pm that day. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Louise's memory to the Branchport Methodist Church, 3376 Guyanoga Rd., Branchport, NY 14418, to Ontario Yates Hospice, 756 Pre Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456, or to Keuka Comfort Care Home, PO Box 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
