Janice (Jannie) Louise Campbell Jensen, a Christian, of Murrieta, California, formerly of Painted Post, New York and Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away at home Friday evening, July 1, 2022. Her husband and children were with her to celebrate her 85th birthday. She was born June 25, 1937 in Corning, New York to Beatrice (Van Keuren) and Richard Campbell. She graduated from Painted Post High School in 1955 before attending Geneseo State Teachers College and graduating from Rochester Business Institute. Janice met her sweetheart, Leonard Frank Jensen, from Penn Yan, New York during a summer visit to the popular roller-skating rink in Keuka Village. They were married on August 24, 1957 after he finished serving his country in the United States Army.

Janice and Leonard made their first home in Alfred, New York, where Leonard attended and graduated from college. They then moved to Mount Vernon, Ohio, where Leonard built their home and their two children were born: Kim Louise Jensen and Russel Frank Jensen. In 1975 the family was transferred to California, where they continued to raise their family in Fullerton. Janice worked for Yamaha Corporation for many years, until they were temporarily transferred to Littleton, Colorado. Upon subsequently returning to California, they established their residence in Murrieta. Janice also co- managed the food pantry at her church. She was always there with a smile and graciously welcomed all who came for food. Janice and Leonard enjoyed playing golf and camping in their motorhome, and fostering over 30 Golden Retrievers in addition to having their own Goldens. In retirement, they especially enjoyed spending the summer months in Vallecito, Colorado.

Janice is survived by her husband, Leonard; children – Kim and her husband Doug Jokinen, and Russ and his fiancée Lorella De Leon; grandchildren – Bradley and Kaitlin Jokinen, Kelsie Jensen; brother Douglas (Carol Ann) Campbell; brother-in-law Lyle Jensen; sisters-in-law Ann Johncox and Joanie Colf; and several nieces and nephews.
