The Penn Yan Mustang baseball team picked up their 8th Finger Lakes East win Wednesday afternoon in Penn Yan. The Mustang nine defeated their Seneca County guests 10-5 to improve their league record to 8-3. Penn Yan trailed 3-2 going into the bottom of the 4th inning, but a big 7-run rally turned this game around to the smiling side of the scoreboard for the Penn Yan squad.

Offensively, Bryce Johnson went 2-for-4, including a big homerun. Noah Hullings also collected 2 hits in the contest. The Penn Yan bats accounted for 9 hits all told. Derrick Rivello was Penn Yan's winning pitcher. He went 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 8. Bryce Johnson pitched a perfect 7th inning striking out 2.

The Mustangs will travel to Geneva Friday afternoon for another key Finger Lakes East showdown.
