The Keuka College Men’s Lacrosse team earned an 8-7 North Eastern Athletic Conference victory on Saturday afternoon over SUNY Poly at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Keuka College (6-3, 2-1 NEAC) was led by Kasey Olsen (Rochester) with three goals and two assists. Kasey Gallina (Macedon) added two goals and an assist for the Wolves. Ryan Mavretish (Camillus) made 11 saves in goal to earn the victory.
Keuka College 8 vs. SUNY Poly 7
SUNY Poly controlled the play in the first quarter, methodically setting up their offensive attack. The Wildcats had an 11-3 advantage in shots in the first quarter, but only three were on goal. Ryan Mavretish made all three saves in the frame as the first quarter ended with the game scoreless.
Keuka College was the first to score in the second quarter as Kasey Olsen found Kasey Gallina for the goal. Off the ensuing faceoff, SUNY Poly got the ball and scored just 14 seconds after Keuka scored to tie the game. The Wolves had a response, reclaiming the lead less than a minute later. This sparked a run of five unanswered goals as Keuka College took control of the half. SUNY Poly scored with 15 seconds left in the half, but the Wolves went into the break with a 6-2 lead.
In the third quarter, Keuka scored the first goal of the frame with just under six minutes left. SUNY Poly scored two goals, the second with just 13 seconds left in the third quarter to make it 7-4. Off of the faceoff, Keuka gained possession on a pushing call with four seconds left. Mark Shattuck (Syracuse) let a shot go from midfield, that snuck passed the keeper and rolled over the line for a goal as Keuka College led 8-4 going into the final quarter.
SUNY Poly attempted to mount a comeback. The Wildcats scored three goals in the fourth and had possession of the ball in the final minute. A shot by SUNY Poly was blocked and Ryan Mavretish collected the groundball with 18 seconds left to play and Keuka College would run out the clock in an 8-7 conference victory.

Morrisville State 15 Keuka College 6
The Keuka College Men’s Lacrosse team lost on the road April 11, falling to Morrisville State by the score of 15-6 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference contest.
Keuka College (5-3, 1-1 NEAC) was led by Mark Shattuck (Syracuse) with two goals and two assists. Seth Bush (Binghamton) added a goal and two assists for the Wolves in the loss.
Morrisville State 15 vs. Keuka College 5
Christopher Ryan (Jordan) scored the opening goal of the game five minutes in for the 1-0 lead. The Mustangs tied the game minutes later and then quickly took the lead, scoring just eight seconds after their first goal. Kasey Olsen (Rochester) tied the game, but Morrisville would lead 5-3 after the first quarter.
The Mustangs opened the second with a pair of goals. Mark Shattuck broke the run with a goal halfway through, but Morrisville added two more goals to lead 9-4 at the half.
Morrisville State created separation in the third quarter, outscoring the Wolves 5-0 to build a 14-4 lead.
Shattuck and Bush each scored late goals for Keuka College, it was not enough as the Wolves fell to Morrisville State 15-6 on Wednesday.
