It's Sectional Tournament time.

Action kicks off today, May 21 and there is action all week long with home games in Penn Yan today (baseball), Tuesday (softball, girl's lacrosse) and Wednesday (boy's lacrosse).


No. 4 seed Penn Yan hosts #13 Wayland-Cohocton today (May 21) at the Elm Street Sports Complex in the Class B Tournament. The winner of this game goes on to play either Bath (#5) or Pal-Mac (#12) Tuesday in round 2 of 4. Game location will be announced. The semi-final round will be play Thursday and the Championship game will be played May 26.


The No. 10 seed Penn Yan Mustangs will travel to Livonia May 22 for a 4:30 p.m. game against the No. 7 seed team in the first of four rounds.

Boy's Lacrosse

The top seed Penn Yan Mustangs will host either Marcus Whitman (#8) or Waterloo (#9) May 23 in the quarterfinal round of the Class D tournament. The winner of that game will play in the semifinal round at Honeoye Falls-Lima May 26. The Championship game will be held at 5 p.m. May 30 at St. John Fisher.

Girls Lacrosse

The Penn Yan Mustang girl’s team will be the #2 seed in the Class D Tournament. They will host #7 Gananda Tuesday night at Mustang Field. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Marcus Whitman will be the #5 seed team in the upcoming Section V Class D tournament. They will travel to Palmyra to take on the #4 seed Pal-Mac Red Raiders Tuesday evening.

Track & Field

The Dundee Track & Field athletes will compete at 4:30 p.m. May 25 at Marion while Penn Yan and Marcus Whitman athletes will compete at 10 a.m. May 26 in Avon.

Boy's Tennis

The Boy's Tennis team tournament also gets underway this week, but details about times and locations were not available.
