The Penn Yan Cross Country Team continued to find success this season, this time with a nice showing at the Wayne Invitational Saturday. The girls are 3-0 so far in league meets, while the boys have a record of 2-1.

In Wayne, the girls placed third overall behind Rush-Henrietta and Penfield, both much larger schools. Joddie Decker took first place overall with a time of 20:22. Jaina Doyle finished 15th with a time of 22:56, and Gracie Murphy earned 17th place with a time of 23:18.

The boys finished in sixth place with David Young placing 12th with a time of 18:37, Ayden Mowry finishing 19th with a mark of 18:52, and James Tette finishing just behind Mowry, also at 18:52.

The teams were home last night against Marion, Red Creek, and Romulus.
