It was a busy week for the Penn Yan girls’ tennis team as they kept rolling along, dropping just one game in three matches.

Penn Yan 5 Midlakes 0

The Lady Mustangs faced Midlakes Thursday and came away with a 5-0 win, improving their league record to 4-0 and moving to 10-1 overall. Singles players Molly Pullen, Claire Pullen, and Abigail Garvey won their contests 6-0, 6-0. Not to be outdone, both doubles teams of Sam Denson and Jayden Hollister and Grace Worth and Sydney Moravec also won their matches 6-0, 6-0.

Penn Yan 4 Pal-Mac 1

The team faced Pal-Mac the day before, winning 4-1. The Pullen sisters and Garvey won their matches as did the first doubles team of Denson and Hollister. Moravec and Worth took the first set of their match 6-1, but dropped the final two sets 6-3 and 6-2.

Penn Yan 5 Marcus Whitman 0

Marcus Whitman came to town on Tuesday and the Penn Yan girls again cruised to 5-0 win. Molly Pullen won 6-1, 6-1, Claire Pullen won 6-0, 6-2, and Abigail Garvey won 6-3, 6-1. Hollister and Denson won 6-3, 6-3, and Moravec and Worth took their match 6-3, 6-0.

The team faced Mynderse at home Tuesday evening, travels to Canandaigua Thursday, and will participate in a varsity invitational at Pal-Mac Saturday at 9 a.m.
