As the regular soccer season is winding down around the Finger Lakes, the Penn Yan girls finished a busy week with 3 wins, a loss and a tie.

Penn Yan 1 Mynderse 1

Leah Moniot socred on an assist from Morgan Andersen at the 24 minute of the second half, and Elle Harrison had 12 saves when the Mustangs played Mynderse Oct. 7.

Penn Yan 6 Bloomfield 1

The Mustangs opened the week with a 6-1 win over Bloomfield Sept. 30. Hayley Andersen had three goals and three assists. Morgan Andersen added two goals, and Kaley Griffin added a goal and assist. Elle Harrison had 7 saves.

Penn Yan 5 Waterloo 2

Hayley Andersen led the Mustangs Oct. 2 with 3 goals and an assist in the win over Waterloo. Sierra Harrison and Alexis Henry each added a goal. Elle Harrison had 13 saves.

Pal-Mac 6 Penn Yan 2

The Mustangs fell to Pal-Mac Oct. 5. Leah Moniot and Haley Anderse on both scored unassisted. Elle Harrison had 14 saves.

Boys Soccer

Naples 1 Penn Yan 0

The Penn Yan boys varsity soccer team lost to Naples 1-0 Oct. 5. No details were available.

Marcus Whitman 6 Midlakes 2

The Marcus Whitman soccer team defeated Midlakes last Thursday 6-2. Scoring goals were Zackary Lovejoy and Caleb McDonough, who had two apiece, Connor Walter, and Brandon Locey. Keeper Noah Hildreth had six saves.

Campbell-Savona 1 Marcus Whitman 0

The team faced Campbell-Savona Sept. 30, losing 1-0. Hildreth registered 10 saves in this one.

The team played Waterloo Monday, and faces Midlakes at home Thursday.
