Brennan Prather became the number two scorer in Penn Yan football history with the two touchdowns he scored last week in the Mustangs’ sectional game against Attica.
With 179 points, Prather trails only Morris Collins (221 points), who played his senior season in 1970. Prather passed Tony Collins and Cris Crissy (two future National Football League players who had 176 points apiece).
“I think this is very special because Brennan was able to achieve this consistency over the last three years,” said Coach Tim McBride. “We’re very proud of him.”
Brennan, who was a wide receiver and kicker for Penn Yan, tallied eight touchdowns, one field goal, and 11 extra points this season to finish his career in second place.
