Both the Mustang bowling teams started their 2019-2020 Finger Lakes East regular season with a 5-0 win over HAC Nov. 26.

Penn Yan’s Zach Gurba rolled a 240 game to pace the Mustangs in their season opening win over HAC Nov. 26. He combined that with a 184 in his first of two games to contribute to the victory. Twelve Penn Yan bowlers saw action in the match at Roseland Bowl in Canandaigua, where their team total was 2575 (881, 923, 771) compared to HAC’s 1907 (621, 587, 699).

Brandee Ellis led the Penn Yan girls with a three game series of 532 (188, 157, 187). Andy Kniffin added a 482 series (170, 155, 157) and Anella Tillman rolled a 446 (155, 163, 128). Eleven Penn Yan bowlers competed and the total pin count for five games was 2121 (776, 701, 644) compared to HAC’s 1560.
