Local craft beers on tap Saturday at Watkins Glen International

Craft brews from across upstate New York will be on tap at Saturday’s second annual Finger Lakes Beer Festival, hosted by Watkins Glen International.

The event is set for noon-5 p.m. inside the heated NASCAR Sprint Cup garages at the historic Schuyler County racetrack.

The participating breweries include Abandon Brewing and Climbing Bines Craft Ale Co., both in Penn Yan; Horseheads Brewing Co. and Birdland Brewing Co., both in Horseheads; Cortland Beer Company in Cortland; Ellicottville Brewing Co. in Ellicottville; The Farmhouse Brewery in Owego; Finger Lakes Beer Co. in Hammondsport; Lake Placid Craft Brewing in Lake Placid; McKenzie’s Hard Cider in West Seneca; Rogues’ Harbor Brewing Co. in Lansing; Rooster Fish Brewing Co. in Watkins Glen; Southern Tier Brewing Co. in Lakewood; G.C. Starkey Beer Co. in Dundee; and Wagner Valley Brewing Co. in Lodi; and Goose Island and Shock Top in Baldwinsville.

Admission is $40, and it’s ages 21 and up only. There will be music by Fritz’s Polka Band, food vendors and pace car rides for $10. A courtesy checkpoint will be set up at the exit gate, and coffee and juice will be available.

Campsites for RVs and campers are available for $50, but there’s no tent camping.
