Penn Yan Community Chorus Spring Concert is June 4

Stage and Screen is the theme of the annual Penn Yan Community Chorus spring concert. The Chorus, under the direction of Jennifer Kraemer and accompanied by Lucinda Loomis, will present music from popular movies and musicals. Selections will be sung from musical favorites Ragtime, Wicked, and My Fair Lady. Movies are features by songs from The Hobbit, an Unexpected Jurney, Skyfall, and a Disney movie medley among others. The program features soloists Jason Riley, Gareth Fishbaugh, Rob Anderson, Barry Winters, Sheryl Robbins, Linda Payne, Barbara Pinneo, Kristy Gaston, and Fran Willis.

The concert will be held at 2 p.m. June 4 in the Penn Yan Baptist Church. There is no charge to attend. A free will offering will be collected to assist the chorus in paying for music and other expenses.

The Penn Yan Community Chorus, open to adults and high school students age 16 and older, provides opportunities to vocal musicians in Yates and surrounding counties to sing in a choral group.
