Glenora Wine Cellars’ Annual Celebrity Guest Chef Pasta Night series is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2016. Since the inception of this community-focused series in 2006, Glenora has donated over $14,000 to 55 local charities in the Finger Lakes region.

The 2016 series begins Jan. 7, with a special Mix & Mingle kick-off celebration from 5 to 8 p.m., commemorating 10 years of giving back to the community.

The celebration will include a sampling of Pasta Night favorites, a Silent Auction in which all proceeds will be donated to 2016’s top charity, and a cash bar featuring specialty cocktails. The cost to attend is $10 per person and the first 10 guests will receive a commemorative 10th Anniversary glass.

“Ten years ago when we started the Pasta Nights series, we never imagined the success and amount of funds it would generate for local charities, and we owe our thanks to many organizations for their involvement over the years,” said Gene Pierce, owner. “We’re very fortunate to be a part of such a receptive and dynamic community.”

Pasta Night is offered Thursday evenings from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Veraisons Restaurant and features a celebrity guest chef preparing pasta dishes from a variety of fresh ingredients. The cost is $18.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity, which includes a fresh garden salad, a bread basket and unlimited trips to the pasta station. A portion of the proceeds each evening are donated to the charity of the chef’s choice, and at the conclusion of the series, Glenora Wine Cellars matches the donation to the charity that brings in the most patrons.
